Success, money, love, power, fame; many have placed their hope in these things, believing they hold the key to happiness. Economic & natural disasters have cast a harsh shadow on that hope. Fortunes, marriages, careers, and retirement plans have fallen apart and left people feeling lost, alone, disenchanted, and resentful. American Idols exposes how we tend to put our faith in wrong things & calls us back to real satisfaction in Jesus.

Previous Series: Weight of Glory
No letter of Paul’s is more personal and intimate than 2 Corinthians. In it he bares his soul about what it means to live for God’s glory in a fallen world. As followers of Jesus we each possess an innate desire for some “far off country” where his glory is our glory and every moment is filled with the reward of loving him. As we study this remarkable letter I pray that our eyes will be opened to unseen things and that our lives will be transformed by that vision and that our hearts will become obsessed with God’s glory.
Toward the end of his message on April 13 & 14, Dan asked several questions to help us evaluate whether or not our confidence is really in Christ. Keep a copy to refer to from time to time.

Join us for our series on Advent. The word “advent” means “coming”. The Advent Season focuses on the yearning for and expectation of the coming Christ. Throughout Advent we contemplate our need for Jesus to come to us individually, transforming us to be more like Him. We also look forward to the day when Jesus will come back again to straighten out every aspect of this bent and broken world.

Together is a series of teachings about who we are as a church, what God has called us to do together, and how each of us can be a part of that calling. We will talk about our vision of life in Christ for every Alaskan and the world beyond. We’ll interact with the values of discipleship; enjoying God together, being transformed together, and demonstrating the heart of Jesus together as we live in the community surrounding us. We’ll develop a deeper understanding of six core practices that orient our lives toward those values and we’ll suggest pathways for you to experience those six things.
We are excited about this series and look forward to what God will do among us as seek to be and make disciples, together
